Story of moon and the rabbit!

 

Once there was a little rabbit, who always listen to stories before going to bed. One day she was not able to sleep. She was thinking something. The little rabbit asked her mom, "Mumma, we all are sleeping during the nighttime. Even the sun goes to sleep at night. But how come the moon is not sleeping?"

The mumma rabbit thought for sometime and told her little one, a story.

"Once upon a time when the moon was born, she was left all alone in the sky. The little moon was very scared and she was always crying. A bird was watching this from the earth. It was a nightingale. The bird felt very sorry for the moon. So the nightingale flew near the moon and sang a very beautiful song for her. Soon the moon stopped crying and started to sleep.

After this the nightingale started visiting the moon everyday night. Each night he would sing a sweet song and the moon would sleep peacefully. This continued for a long time. But one night, the nightingale did not come to visit the moon. The moon was very sad. She waited for the bird to come and sing a song. But the nightingale was no where to be seen.

So the moon couldn't sleep and started searching for the bird, yet she couldn't find him. But the moon did not give up. Every night she comes to the earth, shine brightly and search for that bird."

"This is the reason why the moon doesn't sleep at all", told mumma rabbit to the little rabbit. The little rabbit was already in deep sleep.
